Typography nerd gets angry about a motel sign

Designer-guy buys an old neon sign on eBay. Goes to pick it up (it’s 24ft high, and he has a VW Passat Wagon) and discovers that the new sign is an abomination of piss-poor signwriting. That cost the owners USD$15,000. He cries. I can’t wait for more.
